These beautiful columbines are the color of the Colorado skies in summer, high up in the mountains.  This is Mosquito Pass, a beautiful cirque high up just outside of Fairplay, near Breckenridge.  I've never seen so many beautiful masses of columbines blooming in one place - and large blossoms too, covering the plants, you could hardly see the foliage for the blossoms.  Sky blue heaven.
