This view of Garden of the Gods, and the yellow rabbitbrush blooming speaks of timelessness to me.  As I painted it, I became more and more aware of the ancient history of the location, myths and timelessness of the spirits that must reside there, in the rocks and plants, ever changing and ever renewed.  The rocks themselves seemed to whisper their secrets.
